Duties
At the ZS-III level, the incumbent of this position provides clerical and administrative support to the Sensor Science Division. The position is responsible for processing travel authorizations and vouchers; preparing documentation for guest researchers appointments/renewals; assisting in the in-processing of new employees and associates to include arranging for office space, phones and computer accounts prior to arrival; preparing for and executing out-processing actions prior to the departure of existing associates; managing time and attendance; purchasing equipment, supplies and services; serving as a bankcard holder, preparing training requests; scheduling meetings; registering visitors; managing and saving files on a shared drive, including requisition logs, travel documents and any backup documentation; and serving as the principal office contact for phone calls and visitors. Prepares documents and reports using a variety of office automation software.
At the ZS-IV level, the incumbent of this position will provide direct administrative and financial management support to the Sensor Science Division Administrative Officer, by assisting him/her in the areas of finance, personnel, procurement and other miscellaneous administrative areas. The incumbent will prepare, process and track actions for personnel in the areas of staffing, classification, pay and leave. Supports the Administrative Officer by acting on administrative matters relating to new or revised procedures, policies, personnel requirements, regulations, time and attendance procedures, procurement procedures, travel and other miscellaneous administrative areas. The incumbent will also establish and/or implement new office procedures, coordinate work between offices, and participate in other SSD programmatic and administrative duties.

Qualifications
ZS-III
To qualify, applicant must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 level (or ZS-II at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience providing a variety of administrative support activities utilizing automated electronic and computer systems.
OR
4-years above high school
OR
A combination of education and experience.
ZS-IV
To qualify, applicant must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 level (or ZS-III at NIST) as a principle office support assistant to a division or group performing a variety of office support work.
All applicants must also be able to type 40 WPM.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
