About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Transportation Division, Personnel Services Branch, Personal Property Section.

Duties

Coordinate storage and/or delivery of personal property to comply with established guidelines and/or procedures. Initiate quarterly inspections of inbound and/or outbound personal property shipments ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Conduct counseling sessions to advise on transportation entitlement matters. Assist service members initiating claims for reimbursement for shipments made at personal expense. Examine invoices submitted for payment by contractor for completeness prior to forwarding to finance. Utilize automatic data processing systems, such as Transportation Operational Personal Property Standard System (TOPS) and Defense Personal Property System (DPS), to prepare necessary transportation documents. Prepare transportation documents, such as Government Bills of Lading (GBL), to support the movement of personal property. Serve as liaison between customer and carrier/agent in the resolution of disagreements regarding carrier performance and/or customer responsibilities.
