Duties

This position is located within the Office of the Director, Peace Corps Headquarters, Washington DC. Serving as the Chief Administrative Officer, the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative guidance to the Director's Staff Offices. This group consists of the Offices of the Director, General Counsel, Strategic Information Research and Planning, Strategic Partnerships and Intergovernmental Affairs, Third Goal, Gifts and Grants Management, Victim Advocacy, and Office of Civil Rights and Diversity. The incumbent also provides administrative guidance for critical agency initiatives and the implementation of the comprehensive agency assessment. The incumbent works under the direct supervision and control of the Chief of Staff and uses independent judgment to provide operational and administrative support to the Director's Office, including, but not limited to, budget planning and execution, staffing requirements, communications, meeting/event logistics & coordination, and training initiatives. Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met by 10/12/2023 (the closing date of this announcement). Qualification claims will be subject to verification. FP-03 (Equivalent to the GS-13) To be minimally qualified for this position at the FP03 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression, FP04 or GS-12 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience providing policy and compliance advisory support, and operational administrative support to an Executive Office; presentation of budgets and planning and overseeing various administrative processes such as human resource management. FP-02 (Equivalent to the GS-14) To be minimally qualified for this position at the FP02 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression, FP03 or GS-13 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience providing policy and compliance advisory support, and operational administrative support to the Director's office; Experience coordinating the formulation and presentation of budgets and presenting budget findings to senior level executives for decision-making; Experience in planning and overseeing various administrative processes such as human resource management, and budgeting; Experience supervising a team, and working collaboratively with others to establish and maintain the work of the unit. Please note: Peace Corps employees are employed using the Foreign Personnel (FP) pay scale. The FP pay plan does not follow the same structure as the GS pay plan. In the FP pay plan, as the grade-level numbers decrease the level/pay for the position increases (e.g., the FP-09 is the lowest entry-level pay and the FP-01 is the highest senior-level pay).
