This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Soldier & Chemical / Biological Readiness & Sustainment Directorate, Weapons, Product Support Integration Directorate (PSID).

Duties

Review program operations, analyze results, and develop recommendations to improve existing acquisition procedures. Execute supply and maintenance planning. Analyze logistics documentation required to support Materiel Release decisions. Evaluate progress toward achievement of logistics support goals throughout the life cycle of assigned programs.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
• You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which includes using supply chain management databases, Enterprise Resource Planning and Systems Applications and Products SAP to determine support requirements; reviewing sustainment materiel requirements to initiate or coordinate actions in support of supply or maintenance; providing technical guidance regarding maintenance or supply; and evaluating the progress of maintenance or supply goals throughout the Life Cycle. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
