DCSA's Industrial Security Directorate is seeking a Supervisory IT Cyber Security Specialist, In this role you will serve as a Inspection Team Lead and support the Command Cyber Readiness Inspection Program (CCRI) of Industry classified systems as well as observe assessment, inspections, and reviews at contractor facilities. Duties

As a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) you will be responsible for the following duties: - Provide supervision, guidance, mentoring and direction to the security professionals in support of Command Cyber Readiness Inspection Program (CCRI) of Industry classified systems as well as subsequent inspections. - Provide technical guidance and assistance in the development of training materials and/or programs in support of mission requirements. - Perform and observe assessment/inspections/reviews at contractor facilities in accordance with established policies that include industrial security procedures, systems, standards, and regulations governing the safeguarding of classified information in IS utilized by contractors functioning in the NISP.

  • Acquisition of certification at IAM Level III and IAT Level II per DoD 8140.01 (Cyberspace Workforce Management) within 6 months after assignment to this position is required.

You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-13 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Senior level knowledge of Cybersecurity, Risk Management Framework, Security Technical Implementation Guides, advanced information technology (IT) principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices; Experience leading IT teams to accomplish organizational strategic objectives; Experience exercising supervisory duties; Experience performing risk management and risk analysis activities. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1. Cybersecurity: Protect and defend information and information systems in order to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. (AKA Information Assurance) 2. Leadership: Influences, motivates, and challenges others; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations. 3. Risk Management Framework: Unified Information security framework for the entire federal government. 4. Strategic Communication: Written and Oral Communication 5. Strategic Thinking: Formulates objectives and priorities, and implements plans consistent with the long-term interests of the organization in a global environment that takes into consideration the environment, resources, capabilities, constraints, and organizational goals and values. Capitalizes on opportunities and manages risks and contingencies, recognizing the implications for the organization and stakeholders.
