Duties

Conduct detail reviews, analysis, and evaluation of Special Forces training, education, and operational requirements to determine the short and long range impact on SF training requirements. Develop Course Administrative Data (CAD), Programs of Instruction (POI), Individual Training Plan (ITP), Course Management Plan, and Individual Student Assessment Plan (ISAP) for assigned programs. Design and develop training courses requiring the establishment of instructional design and development criteria through the analysis of educational or instructional problems or questions. Develop special projects designed to improve procedures, respond to a general tasking, answer internal, external, and higher headquarters inquiries, or correct a deficiency affecting several organizational units. Negotiate with other staffs, directorates, and departments to accept and implement recommendations that have a substantial effect on the long range training and resources requirements. Develop substantive changes in the programs to meet both the evolving and unanticipated challenges keeping with the command’s goals and objectives. Create, design, develop, and revise training and education materials, based on the Army Systems Approach to Training (SAT) process and methods documented in Army training, education, and training publications.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Temporary duty travel for up to 20 percent of the time may be required.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
