About the Position: This position is located at the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC).
Duties
Formulate goals, plans, policies, procedures and work plans supporting the development and execution of the Audit Readiness program.
Plan, organize, and oversee all program and project management activities related to Audit Readiness.
Apply accounting practices, methods, and procedures in the examination and analysis of regulations, laws, directives, ledgers, journals, accounts, and related transactions.
Provide advice on accounting system functions, ensuring compliance with the organization’s business needs through analysis of detailed records and system operational information.
Establish oversight for the implementation of internal controls and sustainment efforts throughout the organizational functional areas.
Prepare briefings on status of major program milestones, accomplishments and issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position.
- Designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d.
- Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
- This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
- Position requires DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Level 2 within 24 months of selection and 60 hours of CETs every 2 years thereafter.
