About the Position: This position under the control of the, Business Management Directorate Integrated Financial Managment Directorate.
Duties
Develops, refines, analyzes and issues logistics policies applicable to a major command or geographic region.
Coordinates with representatives of DoD and non-DoD organizations concerning sensitive and/or complex issues and their relationships to Army donated equipment.
Advises requesting organizations on donation policies and procedures and determines eligibility of organizations to receive Army donated property under Title 10 USC 2572.
Reviews, analyzes and evaluates current or projected logistics programs for the assigned command/organization to determine their overall effectiveness and their compliance with applicable laws, regulations, agreements and policies.
Based on program analyses and reviews, initiates and develops logistics policies and procedures, including guidance materials to explain regulatory and policy changes.
Analyzes command/organization logistics program objectives, policies, work operations and progress, resource estimates and usage, and any other associated aspects of operating programs.
Identifies and prepares reports addressing actual or potential program area trends, significant program accomplishments, merit and deficiency situations, areas of imbalance and other related areas.
Monitors and reviews policy and procedural information for the assigned command/organization.
Maintains continuous review over assigned programs, identifies problems and recommends cost-effective alternative policies and programs.
Requirements
- Must be willing and able to travel at least 25% of the time for business.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the to the GS-11 level in the Federal service performing Life Cycle Logistics with experience in the following areas: Public law, Department of Defense and Army policy, life cycle logistics with an emphasis at the end of the life cycle, providing guidance and direction, maintaining inventory and accountability of Army assets using automated and paper records.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
