This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement, Regions 3, 4-6 in the Tulsa field office.
Duties
These positions are located within the Department of the Interior, Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE), Regions 3,4, &6.
1. Responsible for planning and implementing the Field Office activities and workload assignments. Prioritizes and distributes workload according to staff availability and is responsible for quality control of the products and reports resulting from the work.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements
To qualify for the GS-13, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience:
1). Experience providing oversight related to surface coal mining operations and coal related Abandoned Mine Land (AML) reclamation, to include: advising, consulting, and gaining cooperation and participation from state and local entities, citizen groups, and the coal industry.
2). Experience providing direction over a variety of professional, technical, and administrative fields that implement, or operate under statutorily authorized environmental programs (e.g. Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act (SMCRA), Clean Water Act (CWA), National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA).
3).Experience developing, implementing, and monitoring policy, legislation, regulations, and guidelines associated with AML, reclamation, and coal mining operations.
Must meet all three.
Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.
One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level.You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by the closing date of this announcement.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
