This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-Joint Service Provider (JP541).
Duties
Serve as a senior analyst involved in developing, analyzing, advising, and improving the effectiveness of DISA and Defense-wide information management initiatives. Provide expert advice and direction on the planning and execution of DISA programs.
Lead work groups or task forces in assigned areas to improve the management of information resources. Identify problems and/or opportunities, structure the groups' approach to problem resolution and ensure appropriate resources are made available.
Coordinate/support Defense positions with other agencies to ensure DISA strategic business plans meet the DISA overall strategy. Maintain a relationship with both the external customers.
Monitor agency and department positions and actions on programmatic and resource issues. Recommend strategies and establish management processes for developing, coordinating, and issuing timely responses to questions.
Direct or conduct studies and analyses regarding DISA initiatives and programs, including the development of performance measures to support management, oversight and funding. Lead teams in the formulation of guidance and reporting requirements.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- This is a drug testing position.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14 grade level, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: experience supporting program execution in planning, engineering, acquiring, and supporting global net-centric solutions; and providing expert advice on improving the effectiveness of information management initiatives.

Education
