The incumbents serve as Branch Managers and are responsible for the planning, formulation, direction, implementation, evaluation, and reporting of the Office of Airports financial assistance programs for airports, which may include activities associated with grants-in-aid to airports; other federal financial assistance programs, non-federal financial programs under the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program; and Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) program.

Duties

Serves as the front-line supervisor, focusing on direct supervision of implementation and management of each years’ (or multiple years’) airports financial assistance programs. Also, acts as the primary manager to coordinate with field managers over airport financial assistance programs, including Regional Managers, Executives, Field Managers, and Senior Executives within the Office of Airports organization.

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
  • Travel Required: 25% (Domestic Only)

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-J, FG/GS-14 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE IS DEFINED AS: Experience leading and developing employees that provide financial assistance, support and services for large multilevel organizations.OR;Direct technical or management level involvement in processes related to airport programming, planning, environmental review of airport infrastructure development and/or civil airport capital financial processes.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
