You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the EO SYS TEST & EVALUATION & MAINTENANCE BRANCH of the ELECTRO-OPTIC TECHNOLOGY DIVISION in the SPECIAL WARFARE & EXPEDITIONARY SYSTEMS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is equivalent to the GS-13/14 level. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $128,043).

Duties

You will be a Senior Level Technician, with subject matter expertise repairing, testing, and evaluating Electro-Optics Gimbal Mounted Systems on maritime platforms. You will perform and evaluate quality assurance inspections to determine if systems meet system operational requirements. You will be responsible for process development and validation of new products and / or new variant tests. You will mentor and develop technicians and engineers.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing and developing engineering methods and procedures to assess electronic multi sensors systems or components to provide technical direction on testing, troubleshooting, and repair of maritime Electro-Optic Systems ensuring compliance with quality and technical requirements.
