As a Program Analyst, you will be responsible for providing in-depth analysis on a variety of subjects, evaluation of GSA programs, and exercising control over a variety of complex projects.
Location of position: Public BUildings Service, Project Delivery Division, in Region 7.
Location will be determined at selection.
We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Monitors, evaluates and/or executes assigned programs and initiatives. Analyzes and evaluates (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of program operations in meeting established goals and objectives; and performs cradle to grave analyses, develops life-cycle cost analyses and develops recommendations for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the management of the program and initiatives.
Develops recommendations for program activities, operating policies and/or procedures; Serves as technical advisor for assigned program activities, recommending appropriate resources to facilitate accomplishment of objectives; and performs studies requiring evaluation and identification of a variety of operational problems, evaluating alternative solutions and recommending appropriate action.
Conducts analytical studies that are of special interest to specific functional activities or programs, and participates in sensitive aspects of the program; and reviews, evaluates and monitors the progress of regional program areas in accomplishing objectives by appraising performance, progress, program status and trends against approved objectives and program goals and schedules.
Prepares and/or conducts briefings for higher level management to explain the specific analysis of subject matter, as well as to provide recommendations or actions plans and provide guidance and/or direction for implementation.

The GS-12 salary range starts at $82,830 per year. Salary is determined based on the duty station selected (General Schedule Pay Table). If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify for the GS-12, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative, to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. This experience must include making recommendations to management to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of such programs and initiatives.
