Duties
This annoucement is open to All U.S. Citizens who live or reside in the Fort Meade local commuting area, which includes the District of Columbia and Baltimore City; Maryland counties of Anne Arundel, Prince George, Montgomery, Howard, Harford, Charles, Calvert, Carroll, Frederick and Baltimore; Adams County in Pennsylvania; City of Alexandria, VA; Virginia counties of Arlington, Stafford, Prince William, and Fairfax and all cities existing in Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania within the geographic area bounded by the outer boundaries of the combined areas of the aforementioned counties.
As a OPERATIONS SUPPORT SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GG/GS-11) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Administering a variety of facility service functions to provide occupants of both federal government building and commercially leased space with adequate facilities in which to conduct agency business.
Providing specific building services such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, telephone and computer set-up, refuse, custodial work, and various building management services through the use of contractors and federal employees.
Assisting with the development of policy and procedures commensurate with assigned area of responsibility.
Developing recommendations for business process improvement through analysis and coordination with the supported customers.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
