About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 81st Readiness Division, Equipment Concentration Site 151,(ECS) Maintenance, located in Fort Novosel, Alabama.

Duties
Responsible for a variety of administrative duties associated with the maintenance and supply of equipment for a maintenance activity of a US Army Reserve Command.
Assure equipment maintenance requirements are accomplished in accordance with The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
Receive work requests; schedule work; prepare the shop production control schedule; monitor work progress; prepare production control reports; and notify units regarding production delays and expected completion dates.
Responsible for requisitioning, receiving, issuing and maintaining the accountability of supplies.
Conduct inventories; assist in updating property book records; requisition for supplies; inspect incoming shipments; and report discrepancies.
Expected to receive mail and correspondence, maintain administrative reports, and conduct training for supported units regarding maintenance and supply procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
- May be required to obtain and maintain a valid state drivers license in order to obtain a Government Motor Vehicle Operators certificate.

Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which includes utilizing knowledge of maintenance procedures to schedule repairs, maintain equipment logs and production control records; utilizing knowledge of supply procedures to issue, receive, and stock supplies, tools or parts; and experience conducting inventories. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
