You will serve as a VIRTUAL TRAINING PROGRAM MANAGER (PLANS & RESOURCES) in the Fleet/Joint Training Technologies Branch of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Duties
You will provide resource and financial management to the NCTE Program.
You will establish funding prioritization and annual funds distribution for NCTE range systems program current and future year budget requirements.
You will ensure funding is available and executed to prevent adverse impact on operations commitment and Fleet readiness.
You will conduct program cost-benefit analysis to evaluate potential changes to the program and determine best cost efficient mitigation strategy.
You will ensure contracting agencies provides timely accurate and well-documented input into the development of acquisition strategies, program, and process development to maintain or enhance training technology.
You will prepare technical correspondence, reports and assemble and disseminate current status of all work within assigned area.
You will attend conferences, symposiums, exhibitions, demonstrations, and visit other government training facilities, agencies and defense industries to remain alert to changing technologies.
You will analyze and review documentation for the acquisition of new live and synthetic range instrumentation and targets for training to include the retirement of legacy equipment and systems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
- Incumbent is expected to attend schools and conferences to attain/maintain expertise, and provide command positions.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: .
Planning, prioritizing and executing financial and budgetary requirements to support programs.
Developing acquisition strategies and processes and procedures for monitoring contract performance and funding execution.
Collating, validating and supporting/authoring future training requirement funding request.
Demonstrating knowledge of Fleet and Joint training range programs, pre-deployment training and certification requirements.
Utilizing fiscal and acquisition laws and regulations as they impact training operations.
