This position is part of the Interior Business Center (IBC), Human Resources Directorate (HRD), Finacial Management Buisness Ops Office. The incumbent will be responsible for will be the internal resource for administrative, and interrelated staffing processes to coordinate services and support for Human Resources Directorate (HRD) Divisions and senior management, and to provide administrative support on personnel processes.
Duties
Serves as the internal resource for administrative and interrelated staffing processes, such as new employee onboarding, to coordinate services and support for Human Resources Directorate (HRD) Divisions and senior management, and to provide administrative support on personnel processes.
Interpret and apply human resources policies/guidelines for the Human Resources Directorate, then plan and deliver the most efficient service solutions in support of these needs. This includes providing technical and administrative direction and coordination compliance with approved human resource policy and procedures.
Collaborates with managers and supervisors on the proper preparation of materials to support hiring activities. Enters and tracks personnel actions in the personnel data systems. Monitors the tracking systems to evaluate processing and prepares reports on the status of actions.
Conducts quality review of additional human capital/human resource program documents that require HRD Associate Director (AD) or Deputy Associate Director (DAD) review/approval, such as remote work requests, superior qualification requests, retention incentives, etc., and coordinates with the HRD management chain to ensure packages are accurate before submitting for HRD AD or DAD review/approval.
Assists the Program Manager/Chief and Team Lead in HRD Financial Management and Business Operations with managing and development of policies and internal procedures to meet goals and objectives.
Qualifications
At the GS-13 level, you must meet the following qualification: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes but is not limited to experience using an organization's mission, programs, function, policies, objectives, and management principles and processes to determine the best process flows relating to human resources hiring activities; made recommendations for resolving competing requests related to manpower management, hiring approvals; advised and collaborated with management on human capital programs related to available options, guide decision-making on actions, and quality review documents for higher-level management approval; and served as a technical expert on organization and workforce operations to advise on reorganizations and realignment of functions.
