You will serve as a CUSTOMER ADVOCATE (ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL) of DETERRENCE AND DEFENSE SYSTEMS for the COMMAND of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is equivalent to the GS-14/15 level.

Duties

You will manage senior level customer relationships with program offices and in coordination with Technical Project Managers, line Division Managers and Department Staff. You will develop and coordinate strategies to most effectively fulfill customer demand. You will conduct workload forecasting, participate in strategic planning and technical capabilities planning and participate in national strategic assessments, long term master planning, and other strategic activities. You will perform strategic planning with the Warfare Center, Customers, National Workload Manager, TPMs, Chief Strategists, Mission Area Directors, Division Managers, and other Division Customer Advocates ensuring future customer needs are met. You will maintain active participation with other Division Customer Advocates, Technical Project Managers, and Division Managers to collaborate on program specific initiatives and proposals. You will monitor customer satisfaction through interface with the Technical Project Managers and senior level customers. Act as senior level point of contact for customer feedback. You will engaged with Technical Project Managers and functional managers ensuring meaningful project oversight can be maintained and reported.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-05 (GS-13/14) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading or managing programs efforts in the development of strategic plans to ensure development of the workforce, effective execution of workload, and quality of support and services to assigned customers.
