Duties
Provide guidance on life cycle of munitions systems/commodities including functional phases, policies, plans, programs, scheduled priorities, workloads, progress, and resources.
Analyze the status, effectiveness, and efficiency of the life cycle of munitions.
Identify and develop methods to resolve problems with installation management, ammunition operations, production, stockpile management, and overall industrial base strategies.
Review plans and programs which influence munitions operations to conform to the intent of the Commander.
Recommend policies that affect the overall readiness and operation of assigned methods that may have an impact on mission performance.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
- This is an Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics-Advanced Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Evaluating and analyzing directives and policies that affect overall readiness of ammunition lifecycle logistics; 2) Assisting with comprehensive and complex analysis in support of mission execution process improvements that have impact on functions throughout the Command; 3) Reviewing operational efficiency of ammunition life cycle operations to effect improvements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
