About the Position: This position is located at TRADOC, CASCOM, Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Local Transportation via the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus service to the surrounding area which includes Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, York County, Gloucester, Suffolk, and Smithfield.

Duties

As a full first-line supervisor, plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities. Designs, implements and tracks all Structure and Manning Decision Review Fiscal Year course and class requirements for specific Military Occupation Specialties in assigned areas. Develops and maintains course manager functional expertise. Establishes and maintains links between proponent organizational elements, Combined Arms Support Command (CASCOM) and TRADOC staffs. Maintains situational awareness of the TRADOC and Transportation School institutional training (IMT, the Noncommissioned Officer Education System, Warrant Officer Education System, and functional courses.)

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes: 1) Review items such as programs of instruction, training support materials, and operating policies and procedures to ensure the standardized training strategies; 2) Conduct research and analysis to determine facts; 3) Develop training policies and programs; and/or 4) Design course and class requirements for career area training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
