About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a master training specialist and quality assurance subject matter expert in the TRADOC Quality Assurance Office. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting assistance and accreditation evaluations to determine if Army centers/schools produce and provide relevant, efficient, and effective education and training which meets the needs of the operational workforce.

Duties

Evaluate Army Centers/Schools against Army Enterprise Accreditation Standards. Verify integration of established functions into a comprehensive learning institute which provides relevant, efficient, effective and current education and training. Plan and schedule assistance/accreditation visits to Army Centers/Schools. Recommend modifications to processes to improve efficiencies and effectiveness. Support the management, development, and implementation of the Quality Assurance Evaluator Course to include the non-resident phase and the contractor-managed resident phases. Collects end-of-course critiques and external evaluations to analyze results and make Quality Assurance Office Director approved changes. Serve as the TRADOC lead for the Quality Assurance Evaluator Development Program. Develop, review, and make recommendations for policy, policy changes, concepts, and philosophy for the Army Training Program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid T3 (Secret) security clearance.
  • The nature of this position requires the incumbent to travel away from the normal duty station for up to 50% of the time.
  • The nature of this position may subject the incumbent to other-than-normal duty hours which may include overtime, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Developing training materials incorporating a full range of instructional training aids such as devices/simulations, 2) reviewing course evaluations, student evaluations, and/or after-action reviews to improve current training programs, and 3) reviewing programs of instruction to ensure they meet the learning requirements of a given educational program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Transcripts submitted during the application process will not be considered. NOTE: Applicants must meet all Time-in-Grade requirements and experience requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. Current Federal employees applying under VEOA eligibility are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
