About the Position: Serves as the lead Training Development Specialist in the Training Development Division, Prevention Force Modernization Proponent (PFMP), US Army Center for Initial Military Training, Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, VA is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Recruitment, relocation, or retention incentive may be authorized for highly qualified applicants.

Duties

Serves as the Lead Training Development Specialist in the Training Development Division, Prevention Force Modernization Proponent (PFMP). Responsible for managing, planning, directing, and coordinating activities involved in the analysis, design, and development of education and training products. Conducts research and produces reports to assist in the identification and development of professional and leadership training initiatives. Conducts research and analysis for identification of training gap solutions and provides recommendations for prevention training. Conducts comprehensive analysis of projects and provides technical advice and expertise on policy changes, assessments, feedback tools, and cohort-specific challenges. Develops new program methods, approaches, and technology.

Requirements

Analyzing and evaluating training programs; 3. Identifying training capability gaps; 4. Advising on training requirements related to prevention programs; and 5. Recommending new concepts, ideas, or methods for improved training products. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
