About the Position: You will serve as a U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (USACIDC) action officer for implementation of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) programs.

Duties

Utilize FOIA/PA to ensure documents requested are able to be released in accordance with law. Develop case files for each request for proper documentation according to organizational guidelines to support the mission. Conduct research on new and updates U.S. Operational Codes to ensure most up to date codes are used to help support overall mission. Utilize knowledge of Law Enforcement activities, procedures, investigative techniques and policies. Interpret legislation regarding the release of information and represent the Command in subject matter issues.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Required to complete a SF-312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement (DA).
• Must sign DA Form 5019-R and must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. Position is subject to random drug testing.

Education

Education: Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:

GS-09: Master's degree from an accredited university, or have at least 2 years of study leading to such degree related to the position, that would otherwise substitute for specialized experience. GS-11: Ph. D or equivalent Doctoral degree from an accredited university, or have at least 3 years of study leading to such degree related to the position, that would otherwise substitute for specialized experience. GS-12: you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted at this level.

Combining Education and Experience:

GS-09: Having some specialized experience (as described in the GS-09 qualifications), but less than one year; and more than one year but less than two years of education as described in B. The total must be at least 100%.(To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond one year by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)

GS-11: Having some specialized experience (as described in the GS-11 qualifications), but less than one year; and more than two years but less than three years of education as described in B.
