About the Position: Fort Gordon is located in Augusta, GA famous throughout the world for its major attraction, The Masters Golf Tournament and is located a few hours from Atlanta, Savannah, GA and Columbia, Charleston, SC.
This is an Obligated TERM position NTE 2 years.
Duties
Develop and coordinate plans in support of scheduled events, community support events, operational missions, and special events in support the U.S. Army Garrison (USAG), Cyber Center of Excellence (USACCOE), and tenant organizations.
Serves as alternate Installation Formal Schools Coordinator
Serve as the primary authority and installation point of contact for the USAG Master Planning Calendar and the USACCOE Long Range Calendar.
Serve as liaison between USAG, USACCOE, and calendar users providing information, assistance and guidance to users and subordinate operations.

This is a Term position NOT TO EXCEED (NTE) 2 years. It is a time limited position and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years total. This position may be converted to a permanent, career or career-conditional appointment without further competition as long as all requirements are met. To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
This position MAY be made permanent without further competition contingent upon verification of the incumbent's non-competitive eligibility (must be a 30% veteran, reinstatement eligible, etc., under competitive service).
NOTE: Under the Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) selectees must be given a career or career conditional appointment; therefore, VEOA eligible veterans are not eligible to apply to this announcement unless you also have another type of status such as 30% or more disabled veteran.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) developing and coordinating plans in support of scheduled events, community support events, operational missions, and special events in support of the organization's mission; 2) preparing and reviewing documents such as correspondence, reports, and briefings; and 3) coordinating events with various vendors or customers to include operations and scheduling. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
