Duties
You will independently manage issues, disposes of COMSEC, CCI material and all COMSEC KEYMAT accounting, and inventory management of the command's COMSEC accounts.
You will maintain and update the Authorized User List and provides initial, annual and periodic refresher training to Authorized Users.
You will ship and receive COMSEC keying material and CCI equipment to support the command and its theater of operations.
You will coordinate appointments across the division of all COMSEC needs, ensure all hand receipts, SF- 17, SF-25, SF-153, and all COMSEC KEYMAT accounting, and inventory management of the command's COMSEC account.
You will perform 100 percent inventories of all accountable items under the COMSEC account on a semiannual basis for regulatory compliance.
You will conduct semi-annual inspections and CMS user spot checks to ensure that the appropriate degree of security concerning COMSEC is being maintained properly.
You will carry out, monitor or direct the implementation of required Navy and NAWCAD technical security operations.
You will be responsible for safeguarding classified or critical material, information and reporting of COMSEC violations.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9/10) or pay band (DA-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing issues, disposing of Communications Security (COMSEC), Controlled Cryptographic Item (CCI) material and all COMSEC Keying Material (KEYMAT) accounting, and inventory management of COMSEC accounts; 2) Scheduling and conducting Simple Key Loader audits; 3) Carrying out, monitoring or directing the implementation of technical security operations; 4) Safeguarding classified or critical material, information and reporting of COMSEC violations.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR

OR
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
