You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (INFORMATION SYSTEMS) in the DCPDS/ Data Integrity Division of OCHR NORFOLK OPERATIONS CENTER.

Duties

You will serve as a focal point for information systems addressing issues and problems that affect internal and long-range implementation of HR programs and initiatives of OCHR and has a major effect on achievement of the strategic goals. You will develop and implement procedures, resolve technical problems, and provide technical assistance and advisory services to customers and system users regarding automated HR management, processing and data systems. You will determine what HR information to automate, decide best way to portray data, and develop/ present information for the HR staff and other DCPDS users to enable efficient use of HR information systems. You will perform assessments, analysis and ultimately determine resolution of HR information system problems to promote the overall quality, effectiveness and efficiency of human resource program operations throughout the command. You will manage quality control of Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and functional development of DCPDS users.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing expert knowledge and technical assistance in information systems support utilizing Defense Civilian Human Resources Data Systems (DCPDS) systems to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues. Experience analyzing and interpreting personnel data input, data processing techniques to determine problem areas and system rejects in conjunction with personnel regulatory requirements. Experience monitoring and optimizing database performance and database operations as well as generating complex queries and reports as it relates to data integrity of HR systems. Experience leading special projects concerning data integrity of DCPDS (e.g. data migration, payroll reconciliation, internal and external audits of DCPDS), etc. to ensure HR business requirements are met.
