About the Position: Serves as a Management Analyst for Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS),Management and Manpower Analysis Branch, of the Resource Management Division, MEDDAC, Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Duties

Validates data integrity and researches data issues by interviewing users, operating officials, and supervisory personnel. Analyzes reported statistics to ensure data is reasonable and if the data is in line with or represents a variance from historical data. Researches and provides justification for personnel and workload outliers on the monthly Narrative submitted to Army MEPRS Program Office, DHA. Generates reports for print or for electronic transfer using File Protocol Transfer (FTP) and imports them into excel spreadsheets to organize data for input to EAS.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent may be required to work overtime as needed.
  • TDY 5% may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing basic administrative functions, basic knowledge of Expense Assignment System (EAS) IV, Defense Medical Human Resources System-internet (DMHRSi), and Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS); basic understanding solving problems involving different aspects of medical data, ensuring all appropriate files are maintained within compliance, and preparing statistical reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: human resources, health care administration, and/or management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementComputer SkillsProblem SolvingResearch Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
