About the Position: This position is located in US Army MSCoE Fielded Force Integration Directorate.
Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, bordering Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2-hour drive east and Springfield is a 1-hour drive west of Fort Leonard Wood.
Duties
Participate in conferences and doctrinal exchanges.
Present briefings to officials on emerging and published doctrinal concepts and materials.
Analyze changes in joint and other services' doctrine and techniques to determine impact on Army operational doctrine.
Conduct special research and produces studies to assist development of doctrine and doctrinal concepts for future engineer operations.
Monitor related research efforts of proponent schools, battle labs, lessons learned and civilian agencies.
Develop doctrinal concepts that serve as blueprints that describe and focus the Army's capabilities and requirements emanating from tactical to strategic level operations..
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The position requires that the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Analyzing changes in joint and other services' doctrine and techniques to determine impact on operational engineerdoctrine; Managing, preparing, and coordinating assigned engineerdoctrinal materials; Providing research results and historical input to other authors and writers when historical expertise is required on engineer capabilities; Conducting special research and produces studies to assist development of engineerdoctrine and doctrinal concepts in support of future Army operations; and participating in doctrinal exchanges, including in-progress reviews, command decision briefings, doctrine review committees and doctrine conferences.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
