You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Consolidated Storage Program Division, Marine Force Storage Command of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.
Duties
You will review work methods and procedures for opportunities to improve efficiency or effectiveness.
You will exercise responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or in advising higher-level management officials concerning the program.
You will provide technical input and oversight, analyze benefits and costs to develop recommendations on whether or not to contract out.
You will oversee the development of technical date, estimate, statistic, and other information useful by higher-level managers in determine which goals and objectives to emphasize.
You will develop new logistics support concepts to integrate organic DoD and commercial logistics products and services in an effort to meet customer's current performance expectations and to further anticipate future performance.
You will establish program support goals and milestone, define ILS planning parameters, and implement broad technical policies for the assigned weapon system ILS program.
You will manage efforts to identify financial, supply, maintenance, storage, products and services required in developing integrated logistics solutions which provide support for numerous units/activities within a worldwide program.
You will lead evaluation teams, inspection teams, and/or study groups formed to assess the performance of logistics readiness and product support effectiveness to supported units/activities.

- This position may require travel away from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
- This position is considered Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position may require the employee to travel to hostile environments.
- Recall to duty is a regular requirement of this position.
- Knowledge of government an agency-specific guidelines an business practices, including statutes, regulation, p9olicies and procedures, and the multiple categories of contracts.
- Knowledge of business practices and market conditions applicable to acquisition and logistics requirements.
- This position may require some work at test facilities, laboratories, logistics centers, an contractor plants.
- Incumbent musts exercise normal safety precautions.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing oversight guidance, management and leadership direction to Program Support teams and all logistics activities involve in the development an implementation of traditional an Performance Based Logistics (PBL), Integrated Logistics Support(ILS) strategies.
