About the position: This position will be assigned to the Mountain View Club, Kirtland AFB, NM.
Position will be as Regular Part Time employment category, guaranteed 20.0 hours per week & may be eligible for benefits such as Medical/Dental, Group Life, 401(k), AFNAF Retirement
This is a Temporary Appointment, not to exceed 31-Mar-2024. Appointment may be extended or terminate prior to the NTE date, dependent upon mission requirements.
Duties
Assists, monitors and oversees the day-to-day functions of the Kirtland Club operations.
Oversees the catering and bar operations and service. Ensures operations are in adherence with established policies and procedures.
Responsible for the receipt, safekeeping, deposit, disbursement and accountability of facility funds.
Ensures compliance with internal control measures.
Submits requests for inventory items to meet operational requirements.
Creates programs to enhance the club membership and financial aspect of the club.
Creates budgets, reviews financial results with supervisor, provides financial variances and inputs budget changes.
Ensures safety and sanitation requirements are met and the cleanliness of the facility is maintained.
Follows up on maintenance and repair requirements for equipment and facilities.
Makes recommendations for pricing, food preparation, and serving options.
Ensures customers receive satisfactory service, responds to customer requests, and resolves routine complaints.
Ensures adequate staff is present to meet operational demands and provides instruction and guidance.
Supervises subordinate club staff.
Ensures compliance with EEO and personnel directives.
Interviews and selects for supervised positions, prepares work schedules, assigns duties, establishes performance standards, provides training, evaluates work performance, initiates personnel actions, submits employees for recognition, resolves grievances, keeps staff informed, and maintains employee records.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a Tier 1 (T1) background investigation with favorable results.
- This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and have a good driving record.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have responsible work experience or extensive training/education in operations management, which demonstrates ability to perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience in food and beverage operations is desirable.
Must have experience which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, or retail operations.
Must possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations such as; receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and use of cash accountability control methods.
Must have experience which demonstrates ability to provide work direction to other employees.
Knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations is desirable.
Must have basic computer skills and be able to use computer software to monitor sales, inventory, catering, accounting and timekeeping programs.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
