You will serve as an EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST in the EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY OFFICE of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will provide advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees on Title VII legal and procedural EEP program issues and requirements, primarily in the areas of complaints processing and affirmative actions.
You will provide counseling services to employees and confers with all levels of management to resolve allegations of discrimination on an informal basis.
You will be responsible for reviewing and processing EEO complaints in accordance with Department of Nacy and EEOC guidelines.
You will contribute input to the development of responses to inquiries regarding application of Title VII law from the general public, employers, employees, public officials, and representatives of labor and business operations.
You will collect and compile statistical and other data, and conduct special studies to assess program shortcomings and progress and to develop approaches, methods and/or procedures to support the Model EEO Program.
You will serve as the EEO advisor on Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) teams to identify the human resources needed to meet organizational mission and goals, and develop strategies to meet those requirements.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
FOR GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing discrimination complaints program reports, compiling, reporting and analyzing statistical data to evaluate program effectiveness, advising on matters relating to Title VII program areas, AND administering Equal Employment Opportunity counseling.
FOR GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing discrimination complaints program reports, compiling, reporting and analyzing statistical data to evaluate program effectiveness, and advising on matters relating to Title VII program areas.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
FOR GS-11 ONLY:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
orHave a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
