The Information Technology Applications and Data Division (ITADD) mission is to deliver innovative software that helps every employee accomplish the FBI's mission. ITADD builds and maintains FBI software and provides data management solutions as well as develops applications for case and crisis management, data analytics, data management, and administration. ITADD also provides cloud development solutions and houses the FBI's cybersecurity operations.
Qualifications
GS-07: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
Experience utilizing software tools and related mechanisms to maintain established IT systems.
Experience analyzing and resolving problems and needs to accomplish IT and business objectives.
GS-09: In addition to the above, applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-07 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
Experience analyzing work processes and perform maintenance in assigned areas that are of limited scope and difficulty.
Experience supporting the development of various IT applications and software, providing testing support, and offering recommendations regarding potential enhancements.
GS-11: In addition to the above, applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-09 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
Experience providing advice to various levels of personnel regarding administrative and technical matters related to IT programs and/or services.
Experience applying IT principals, methods, and programming languages focused on the design, development, testing, and implementation of software for programs.
GS-12: In addition to the above, applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
Experience preparing presentations, formal and informal reports, correspondence, briefings, charts, tables, and graphs to distribute throughout an organization.
Experience reviewing operational needs to detect, diagnose, and resolve significant problems or error conditions relating to computer or related IT products and services.
Experience providing information, guidance, and instruction on the use of desktop computer hardware and software products; as well as mainframe applications and systems.
GS-13: In addition to the above, applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
Experience managing and successfully completing complex IT projects.
Experience leading a team-based environment of technical personnel in complex and mission critical projects.
Experience providing expert advice and guidance to management regarding technical issues which pertain to the planning, designing, developing, procuring, implementing, operating and maintaining of the organization's IT systems.

Education
Education may be substituted for SE, and all degrees must be from an accredited college or university. Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the above requirements provided you can show foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. Transcripts are required when qualifying based on education.
Degree(s) must be in one of the following fields: computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management OR a degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
GS-7: Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement or one (1) full year of graduate level education. Superior academic achievement is the completion of all the requirements of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, which is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average of 3.0 or higher as recorded on an official transcript, or as based on courses completed during the final two years of the curriculum, or (3) honor society membership.
GS-9: Applicant must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
GS-11: Applicant must have a Ph.D. OR equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related.
Education may NOT be substituted for specialized experience at the GS-12 or GS-13 levels.
