You will serve as an IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) in the NAVFAC Information Technology Center (NITC) of the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC).

Duties

You will provide advisory services to the installation regarding plans and policies, problem areas, program requirements, and methods of accomplishments. You will serve as an organizational subject matter of contracting, projects and policy. You will be responsible for technical writing and editing of technical documentation You will serve as the IT specialist responsible for accomplishing technical, analytical and advisory functions. You will perform command level evaluations of highly complex network and/or telecommunications equipment or software.

Requirements

  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license to travel.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a government travel charge card (GTCC).

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Applying structured analysis principles and methods on meeting IT business and technical requirements; 2. Analyzing business processes and operations, sufficient to develop and meet business requirements; and 3. Formulating recommendations for meeting IT business and technical requirements.
