About the Position: This position will be filled on a permanent basis.
Duties
You will work directly for the Director in the management of the Directorate and are responsible for managing the efficient coordination and accomplishment of all aspects of assigned programs.
Oversee the law enforcement and security program, which includes physical security, access control, and crime analysis, for US Army Garrison - Rock Island
Represent the Garrison for law enforcement/security and fire protection/prevention matters to the surrounding civilian communities to include the local, county and state police and fire departments, as well as civic interest groups.
Perform the full realm of supervisory responsibilities to include hiring, performance management, training, and discipline.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
- This position is designated as a Key position and cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- This position is designated as Mission Essential.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State drivers license.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing organizational plans related to security and public safety, recommending solutions to physical security, public safety, and/or fire prevention programs, and coordinating emergency service training and operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
