About the Position: Serves as a logistics management specialist with responsibility for coordinating acquisition of materiel systems related to Quartermaster proponency. These include the functional areas of petroleum, water, field hygiene, field feeding, cargo aerial delivery, materiel handling equipment, distribution, mortuary affairs, field services, heaters and environmental control units, shelters, and tentage.
Duties
Determine requirements for new and modified Quartermaster food systems.
Responsible for coordinating acquisition of materiel systems related to Quartermaster proponency.
Provide oral and written correspondence as well as advice, assistance and technical guidance on a regular basis.
Present the results of research and evaluation in the form of technical, statistical and narrative studies/reports.
Provide conclusions, to include specific recommendations, which outline courses of action to be followed by the Army to attain maximum operational logistics efficiency and effectiveness.
Apply subject matter expertise to properly represent Quartermaster materiel through all funding processes.
Provide technical expertise to achieve interface and standardization of logistic materiel systems.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience developing logistics operational requirements, i.e., doctrine, training, organizations, materiel, relating to Quartermaster Proponency and researching and preparing decision papers and studies dealing with Quartermaster Proponency. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
