You will serve as the Program Support Assistant (OA) for the Facilities Management Service located in Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center, Walla Walla, Washington.
Duties
You will coordinate incoming data from a variety of sources, reviews documents, reports, and/or applications or omissions and inconsistencies, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate.
You analyze and report utility utilization, including preparing and submitting reports to VHA and VACO.
You will review work orders and sets priorities based on manpower, equipment, and material availability.
You will review and insure the accuracy of credit card statements and for insuring that appropriate
information regarding the FCP, cost center and BOC is provided to Fiscal Service.
You will review and distributes incoming mail, manages suspenses, prepares outgoing mail and
prepares office correspondence.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00 am- 4:30 pm.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by 30 days of the closing date of this announcement, 09/18/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05.

You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized experience must demonstrate performing standard clerical assignments such as reviewing documents for proper grammar, spelling and punctuation, and operating computer hardware and software (such as: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, or SharePoint). Examples of specialized experience includes: Collect, compile, and track data and statistical information; coordinate incoming data from a variety of sources, review documents, reports, and/or applications or omissions and inconsistencies, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate; meeting deadlines, preparing office correspondence; answers phones, responds to information inquires and takes messages, receives visitors and directs them to appropriate staff, and maintain filing systems. Schedules appointments, coordinate meetings, prepare meeting minutes and schedules conferences.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: The work is generally sedentary and involves sitting for extended periods of time, use of computer terminal equipped with CRT screens, repetitive hand motions at a computer terminal or calculator keyboard, as well as some light material handling up to 25 pounds. Some bending, kneeling, stooping, stretching, and work from ladders may be required.
Work Environment: The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts, which require normal safety precaution typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, or libraries. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.
