You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the WEAPONS LOGITICS INTEGRATION DIVISION, LOGISTICS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will serve as the primary focal point for all integrated logistics support (ILS) issues with respect to one or more NAVAIR/NAVSEA/DOD Weapons Systems Programs or other projects at NAWCWD.
You will be responsible for the training and development of assigned personnel as well as all supervisory tasks described within this position description and those that may be assigned.
You will provide logistics leadership; technical assistance/guidance and direct logistics program management support of all logistics topics, issues and concerns.
You will ensure that Logistics support team members complete all assigned tasking in a timely and professional manner.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (NM-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Providing logistics leadership, technical assistance/guidance and directing logistics program management support of all logistics topics, issues and concerns for a program; 2) Ensuring that Logistics support team members complete all assigned tasking in a timely and professional manner; 3) Demonstrating a working knowledge of applicable weapon systems, launch platforms, relevant manuals, maintenance concepts and procedures; and 4) Demonstrating knowledge of DOD and Navy system acquisition policies, Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and Organizational Management requirements and techniques, personnel leadership, management skills as well as actual experience in Program Planning Budgeting and Execution for Acquisition and In-Service Logistics Sustainment/Management programs.
