You will serve as a AIRCRAFT OVERHAUL & REPAIR SUPERVISORY in the Industrial Execution Department of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Duty Station: San Diego, CA

Duties

You will track and monitor all work with in assigned areas, looking for cost overruns, inefficiency, incorrect workload standards, training, deficiencies, support deficiencies, etc. You will take steps to resolve problems by determining the cause, finding solutions and taking corrective action.. You will observe work in progress to assure on time completion and verify the quality going into the product.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• Eye protection is required in hazardous areas in the form of approved safety glasses w/side shield, googles and face shield.
• Position is subject to various noise levels, with continuously exceed 85 DBA and often exceed 105 DBA.
• Incumbent must obtain and maintain required certification and /or license as a condition of employment.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

I have the ability to perform a full range of tasks on my own initiative including the ability to lead or supervise determining sequences priorities and deadlines of scheduled assignments: estimating material, equipment and manpower needs: developing and implementing work and safety procedures, and/or executing operational administrative functions such as scheduling and approving leave, issuing performance appraisals, deciding conduct related matter and supporting Equal employment Opportunity principles and practices. Disassemble Aircraft and components in accordance with all applicable maintenance paperwork and all work directives and standard disassembly procedures; Perform any and all late removal requirements; Performs minor assembly of main landing gear such as axles and wheel installations. I work under my own initiative sbuject to occasional inspection. C.
