Duties
The incumbent will maintain and operate the Security Systems and Access Control Group Gaithersburg Badge Office. Individual will perform functions and operations supporting the Physical Access Control System (PACS) for the Gaithersburg Campus by providing administrative and customer service tasks. Some badge tasks will include creation and issuance of PIV, PIV-I or Site badges, and enrollment. Individual will be required to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to include maintaining a facility badging system, creating and implementing new and/or revised security procedures. Individual will also serve as a Registrar, Activator and Site Manager within the US Access system for PIV Card Issuance Facility. The incumbent will access multiple software systems, and database applications, respond to customer inquiries verbally, in writing, as well as in person; therefore, acting as the organization's administrative point of contact. Serves as a primary source of reference and guidance for staff members regarding the HSPD-12 process.

Qualifications
ZS-III: Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at the GS-04 level (ZS-II at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience with excellent Customer Service, Proficient in following Standard and Operating Procedures, and Proficient in Microsoft Office such Outlook email, Excel, Word and Power point.

4 years above high school
OR
Combination of education and experience which is equivalent to the one year of specialized experience. (NOTE: only education in excess of 2 years or 60 semester hours is creditable towards meeting the specialized experience requirement)
ZS-IV: To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-6 (ZS-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience with excellent Customer Service, Proficient in following Standard and Operating Procedures, and Proficient in Microsoft Office such Outlook email, Excel, Word and Power point and experience in badgining.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
