You will serve as a Facility Operations Specialist in the Infrastructure Business Operations Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will develop requirements for facility modification, replacement, or construction.
You will ensure that all NAVAIR/NAWCWD end user facilities requirements are properly addressed and executed by the service provider/s.
You will serve as a voting member of the Facilities, Equipment and Space (FES) Screening Committee to support the proper execution of the FES oversight process.
You will make recommendations based on analysis and findings in the facility allocation, use, modification, and acquisition processes which includes providing support to the end users for preparing all documentation necessary.
You will perform in house wage grade construction and repair projects for NAWCWD activities.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5/8) or pay band (DA-02) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Facility Operations Specialist. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Demonstrating experience in facilities inspection, maintenance, and requirement identification; (2) Demonstrating experience coordinating with contractors or external stakeholders on project status; (3) Exhibiting experience with project execution and contract execution in relation to facilities; and (4) Demonstrating knowledge of facilities and related funding sources.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.
OR
Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
