You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN of COMNAVREG MIDLANT NORFOLK.
Duties
You will evaluate the condition of equipment to determine repair parts or materials needed.
You will evaluate system performance of newly installed electronic equipment and structures (e.g., antennas, transmitters, receivers) under actual operating conditions.
You will develop advanced testing and evaluation methods to provide guidelines for electrical or electronic testing
You will conduct testing and evaluation of highly complex components and designs to identify technical specifications for the development or procurement of systems or subsystems.
You will determine funding appropriations to execute project tasks.
Requirements

Qualifications
FOR GS-12:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Technical and administrative support in monitoring work progress and evaluates work methods for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory directives; 2) Managing, and coordinating equipment procurement, maintenance, repair, installation, and inspection of electronic equipment; and 3) Planning and executing internal and external development of general purpose transmitters for fixed plant installation with a range of power outputs and related accessory equipment.
FOR GS-11:
our resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing support in: 1) Assisting in coaching, problem solving, interpersonal communication, integration of work processes and products, obtaining resources and liaison with the supervisor; 2) Assisting in testing, evaluating, modifying, installing, and servicing High Frequency (HF), Very high frequency (VHF) and Ultra high frequency (UHF) communication systems, receivers, transmitters, transceivers, secure voice (cryptographic) interfaces, antennas, antenna couplers, and transmission lines; 3) Assisting in planning and executing internal and external development of general purpose transmitters for fixed plant installation with a range of power outputs and related accessory equipment; and 4) Analyzing repair practices, and developing procedural instructions on methods and steps of equipment repairs of all electronics systems.
