You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT in the Unaccompanied Housing (UH) Branch of NAVSTA.
Duties
You will interface with a local government, developers, contractors, and community leaders to develop and maintain a partnership to meet housing objectives.
You will maintain automated database for statistical and historical information relating to housing occupancy, utilization, and maintenance.
You will advise on housing programs (e.g., energy consumption guidelines, self-help, loan program) to ensure information is provided to customers.
You will respond in writing to audit and inspection reports and other inquiries from higher authority to correct deficiencies.
You will support the Housing Manager in performing inventory control of all furnishings and equipment assigned to each housing unit.
You will prepare work requests for accomplishment of housing maintenance and repairs.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing information via telephone, email, and in person on a variety of subjects relating to unaccompanied housing for military personnel; 2) Ensuring proper record keeping using electronic databases such as the Unaccompanied Housing Module IUHM) of enterprise Military Housing (eMH); 3) Coordinating with Facilities Management Specialist (FMS) to ensure timely completion of berthing maintenance projects; 4) Inspecting rooms for cleanliness, appearance, and maintenance discrepancies routinely to determine if procedures are being followed; and 5) Preparing internal reports and studies after analyzing problem areas and implementing corrective measures within program policy and requirements.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
1 full year of graduate level education
or
completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement
