You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Family Housing Department of NAVSTA.
Duties
You will plan, organize and perform work required to ensure proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Navy community Service Program, local command directives, and Navy Housing Office policies and procedures..
You will be responsible for monitoring the Public Private Venture (PPV) operating agreements, including mediation of tenet disputes and agreement modification.
You will liaison with military families, command personnel and their staff, ensuring personnel are assisted with repair or maintenance concerns with the privatized housing limited liability corporation (LLC)
You will assist the Housing Installation Program Manager (HIPM) or senior specialist with determining the total housing requirement for military personnel assigned to the installation, evaluating existing housing assets, including PPV units..
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing housing facility inspection procedures and maintenance requires to identify maintenance deficiencies; 2) Briefing various levels of officials, tenants and contractors, both orally and in writing, on Public / Private Venture (PPV) issues; 3) Preparing and presenting (oral and written) recommendations and solutions regarding PPV issues based on analysis and evaluation; 4) Utilizing Housing software systems to maintain the occupancy history records; and 5) Identifying problems and deficiencies, such as tenant responsibility for damages beyond normal wear and tear; preparing and submitting appropriate documentation to support findings. Education

master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
