This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This Program Manager (Deputy Product Lead Acquisition) position will be assigned to the Program Executive Office for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors, Terrestrial Sensors Office, located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Duties
Serve as a Program Manager (Deputy Product Lead Acquisition) for an assigned Product Management Office.
Responsible for all aspects of DoD acquisition to include development, testing, system integration, production, fielding, sustainment and product improvements with a multi-million-dollar annual budget.
Maintain continuous liaison and monitors collaborative planning with pertinent military users, DA staff and other agencies to render advice and counsel on assigned management activities.
Responsible for the analysis and evaluation of programs as they affect assigned equipment.
Oversee POM planning, cost estimating, program planning, programming, budgeting, program integration, interoperability and oversight.
Requirements

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Advanced Level in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 48 months of entrance on duty.
- This position is subject to a mobility or rotation agreement as a condition of employment. You will be required to relocate based on management needs for the duration of employment in this or successor positions.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing ALL of the following duties: 1) Interpreting regulatory guidance pertaining to property or accountability practices for acquisition programs; 2) Developing operational budgets for assigned projects; 3) Analyzing acquisition program evaluation documentation and making any needed adjustments; and 4) Overseeing acquisition project responsibilities such as development, acquisition, testing, life cycle support, resources management, contracting, scheduling, personnel and facilities.
