You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Integrated Combat Systems Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD. If selected, you will serve as Property Management Department Lead. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13/14. This position is salary capped GS-13 Step 10 (currently $145,617). Duties

You will provide day to day oversight of V Department's property management team and operations. You will develop and implement material stowage plans for complex systems. You will lead the department's responses to material audits, evaluate and maintain data, and provide senior level overviews to line management on property management efforts. You will internally audit V Department property to ensure compliance with DOD instructions and regulations. You will apply knowledge of DoD and Navy property management processes, tools, regulations, policies, and procedures to provide technical and administrative support to the V Department property management program. You will monitor V Department's progress, submissions, and compliance with all property management audits and data calls. You will research, collate, organize and evaluate property management data in order to prepare action item responses, populate databases, and prepare reports and presentations. You will prepare the department for command wide audits, and communicate with leadership any potential issues.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing or coordinating property management control functions for an organization. Examples of specialized experience may include: ensuring accountable property is correctly catalogued on inventory lists; conducting property audits; ensuring property is disposed of at the end of its lifecycle in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, or processes; advising management or employees on property management requirements, functions, or concerns.
