Duties

Identifies, documents, and prioritizes gaps in Army Maintenance and writes and reviews Army Maintenance JCIDS Requirements Documents to mitigate those gaps. Ensures Joint Capabilities Integration System (JCIDS) supporting documents such as Contingency Operations, Analysis of Alternatives, Cost Benefit Analysis, and Life Cycle Support Plans are accurate and complete. Prepare and provide briefings and/or reports to explain, market, and justify materiel solutions and analysis to internal and external entities. Provides technical advice on Ordnance Maintenance, specifically Ammunition Management.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 30% of the time to include overnight.
  • Position require the incumbent to possess or obtain a valid Driver's License to operate a government and/or rental vehicles.
  • This position may require a one year probationary period.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which involves 1. Developing logistics operational requirements, i.e., doctrine, training, organizations, materiel, relating to Ammunition Logistics and 2. Researching and preparing decision papers and studies related to Ammunition Logistics. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Manages and Organizes InformationOral CommunicationTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
