This position is located in the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS), UNITED STATES COAST GUARD (USCG), DEPUTY COMMANDANT FOR MISSION SUPPORT, ASSISTANT COMMANDANT FOR ACQUISITON (CG-9), DIRECTOR OF ACQUISITION PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CG-93), OPC PRO PANAMA CITY, Panama City, Florida    

Duties

You will serve as a Program Analyst supporting the Aviation, Surface or Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Internal (C4ISR) domains within the U. S. Coast Guard's Acquisition Directorate (CG-9). As a project staff member, you will report to either the Assistant Project Manager or the Program Manager.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
  • You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

Qualifications

To be considered at the GS-13 level: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. For this position, specialized experience includes contributing to and preparing financial analyses; participating in management and program studies and reviews; conducting cost-benefit analysis; ensuring operating program objectives are met; and gathering information for financial statements and financial systems. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.  If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
