About the Position: This is a Project Coordinator position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division, Fort Worth District, Programs and Project Management Division (PPMD) located in Fort Worth, TX.
This is a permanent and full-time position located in Fort Worth, TX and may be filled at the GS-05 or GS-07 grade level. The full performance grade of this position is GS-11.
Duties
Performs duties which require analytical ability, network analysis, judgment, discretion and knowledge of the organizational objectives in conformance to the Project Delivery Business Process (PDBP).
Works closely with assigned Project Managers when establishing, monitoring and maintaining project schedules and budgets; and reporting performances for assigned tasks and/or projects.
Validates and presents schedules, budgets, estimates, and plans.
Reviews requests for information from higher headquarters and develops a plan to provide an appropriate response to the request starting with collecting information from Automated Information Systems such as P2, RMS, and CEFMS.
Develops and coordinates procedures and directs activities for the timely preparation of assigned District project/program fact sheets and Congressional briefing books for the Commander, senior leaders, and project/program managers.
Utilizes appropriate project techniques such as scheduling, networking, and creating work breakdown structures to plan, coordinate, develop and monitor execution plans for District projects and programs.
Develops and presents briefings regarding the status of proposed planning, schedules, work breakdown, cost, resource, issues and solutions.

To qualify for the GS-05:
General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes assisting with gathering and maintaining project data, reports, scheduling meetings utilizing automated systems to support others. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
To qualify for the GS-07:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) Assisting with gathering and maintaining project data, reports, and scheduling meetings utilizing automated systems to support others. AND 2.) Utilizing automated financial systems to create and run reports for cost and schedule management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OR
Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business or Project Administration/Management.
OR
Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. [Note: Remove the words "such as that identified in Education above" if the position you are filling does not require education in specific fields found in an Individual Occupational Requirement.] Superior Academic Achievement is based on:
(1) Class Standing - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses; OR
(2) Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.) - Applicants must have a grade-point average of either (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on your official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.; OR
(3) Honor Society Membership - Applicants may be considered eligible based on membership in one of the approved national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies (https://www.achsnatl.org/).

Time in Grade Requirement for GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
