You will serve as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the CYBERSECURITY NOLA 59510 of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.
Duties
You will formulate and implement security certification methods for projects/programs conforming to DOD and Federal Cybersecurity requirements.
You will have leadership in, and execution of, security test and evaluation methods, practices, and techniques associated with the assessment of high-speed computing/communication systems.
You will design and development of plans, processes, and procedures for the T and E, IV and V, authorization and approval to operate (ATO) of complex systems IAW National and DOD requirements.
You will give expert evaluation, assessment, and recommendations for project/program policy in support of system design, acquisition, development, deployment and operations in diverse security environments IAW National and DOD requirements.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level Advance within 12 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or NO-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading system security control assessments for certification, authorization, approval, risk analysis, reporting and continuous monitoring.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
1. Attention to Detail - Using analytical and critical thinking while conducting audits and assessments of complex technical systems.
2. Customer Service - Advise, consult, and interact with technical team leaders and peers, as a team leader/SME.
3. Oral Communication - Summarize and report vulnerabilities and weaknesses verbally and in writing to the appropriate level of leadership.
4. Problem Solving - Implementing mitigation strategies and methods to resolve problems, and to lead re-testing and re-evaluation of affected systems.
