About the Position: Serves as training instructor and participates in course development. Responsible for both preinstructional and instructional actions including overall maintenance and improvement of assigned course areas of quartermaster and chemical equipment. Applies a variety of instructional techniques including lecture, seminar, conference and group discussion, programmed instruction, self-paced instruction, and multimedia instruction.
Duties
Analyze resource requirements to ensure sufficient support for learning programs.
Assess the effectiveness of educational programs to make suggestions for improvement.
Coordinate equipment maintenance to ensure optimal operation during training.
Provide feedback to instructors regarding their teaching techniques to ensure students receive the best education possible.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education an/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction in the field of Quartermaster/Chemical/Utility Equipment, such as, assisting in the development of training/course materials and aids, supervising or administering a training program, performing work in the field of the Quartermaster/Chemical/Utility Equipment that required training or instructing others on a regular basis on heaters, pumps, water purification and utility equipment, decontamination systems, and laundry systems equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as Logistics Management, Supply Management, or Maintenance (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
